Help us Celebrate 20 Years of Curl Aberdeen

Join us for a night of glamour and celebration this June

Curl Aberdeen, one of the premier curling venues in Scotland, is proud to announce its first-ever Black-Tie Dinner, set to take place at The Chester Hotel on 13th June 2025. The event will celebrate a monumental milestone, the 20th anniversary of Curl Aberdeen,  and promises to be a night of glamour, camaraderie, and celebration, bringing together over 300 guests from across the curling community and beyond.

Curl Aberdeen has been at the heart of curling in the region since its inception, offering state-of-the-art facilities and hosting some of the most exciting curling events in Scotland. Over the past two decades, the venue has become a cornerstone of local, national, and international sporting life, fostering a passion for curling while supporting the development of talent from grassroots to elite levels.

Across the past 20 years, Curl Aberdeen has produced three GBR Olympic athletes, Tom Brewster, Ethan Brewster, and Jackie Lockhart, plus many more World and European champions, most of whom will be there on the night.

"We are thrilled to be celebrating this landmark year with our first-ever Black-Tie Dinner," said Tom Brewster, Manager of Curl Aberdeen. "It’s a chance for us to come together as a community, celebrate our achievements, and look ahead to the next 20 years of curling in Aberdeen.

“Whilst we are incredibly proud of our curling achievements, we are now so much more than only a curling rink. We are an important part of the local community, and the business community. A huge change for us has been opening the venue for meetings and events. This brings in additional, important revenue, and has also introduced many more people to curling, which is just fantastic.  We hope to bring together supporters from all parts of Curl Aberdeen as part of these celebrations.”

The Black-Tie Dinner will be hosted by Steve J Innes, and is taking place at The Chester Hotel, with speakers including chairperson Graham Russell, Comedian Eric Davidson and the current Olympic Silver Medallist Bruce Mouat. Highlights of the evening will include a look back at Curl Aberdeen’s journey over the past 20 years, the impact the venue has had on curling in the region, as well as their exciting plans for the future.

With a limited number of tables available, those wishing to attend are encouraged to book early to avoid disappointment. The event promises to be an excellent opportunity of fun and fundraising, with all money raised being invested back into Curl Aberdeen.
